This policy is written to be read, not to be skimmed past. The short version is at the top and it is accurate.
The short version
We do not collect your data. There is no server. Nothing you enter into Job Applier is sent to us.
Job Applier is software you install and run on your own computer. Your resume, your details, your credentials and your application history are stored in a folder on that computer. We have no way to read them.
1. What is stored, and where
Everything the app stores lives in one folder on your machine:

So you do not sign in to Naukri/LinkedIn every day
2. What we receive
Nothing, unless you contact us yourself.
- No account and no registration.
- No usage tracking, analytics, telemetry or crash reporting.
- No copy of your resume or applications.
If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email. If you buy a licence, our payment provider processes your payment and we receive your email address and the fact that you paid — that is all.
3. Where your data goes when the app runs
The app connects to:
- Naukri and LinkedIn — in a browser window on your computer, signed in as you. This is the same traffic as using those sites by hand.
- Google's mail servers — only if you turn on the Email tool, and only to send your messages from your own account.
- Google's AI service (Gemini) — only if you add your own free key, and only when you use the Coach tab. What is sent is a summary of your profile and your application statistics; you can read it in full before enabling it, with "See exactly what is sent". Your credentials, your saved sessions and your resume file are never included. The request goes from your computer to Google directly and does not pass through us. Leave the key blank and this never happens.
- An AI service (Groq) — optional, and only to phrase answers to unusual open-ended screening questions. The question text and the relevant facts from your profile are sent. Your credentials never are. Leave the key blank and the app skips such questions instead.
Those companies have their own privacy policies, which apply to what they receive.
4. Your credentials
- Your Naukri and LinkedIn passwords are never requested and never stored. You sign in yourself, in a browser window you control.
- A Gmail app password, if you create one, is stored encrypted on your computer. It can send mail from your account and nothing else, and you can revoke it at <https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords> at any time.
- Encryption protects against a stray backup or another user on a shared computer. It cannot protect against malware already running as you, because the app must be able to decrypt unattended for scheduled runs. We would rather state that plainly than imply more.
5. Recruiter contact details you add
If you use the Email tool, you supply the recipient addresses. Those addresses are stored on your computer only.
You are responsible for the addresses you add and for the messages you send. Please use addresses that were published for job applications — the recruiter email inside a job advertisement, or a company's careers address — and honour anyone who asks you to stop. The app adds an opt-out line to every message for this reason and sends at most one follow-up.
6. Your rights over your data
Because your data never leaves your machine, you exercise these rights directly:
- Access and portability — Settings → *Download all my data* exports everything as a single file.
- Correction — every field is editable in Settings.
- Erasure — Settings → *Delete everything* permanently removes all of it. Deleting the app folder and the data folder removes the rest.
If you have bought a licence and want the purchase record deleted, email us and we will delete it, subject to the tax records we are legally required to keep.
7. Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 18.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version ships with the next release and the date at the top changes. Because we hold nothing about you, a change here cannot retroactively affect data we do not have.
